Lakesmere is an accredited Investors in People company and wholeheartedly believes in the ongoing development of our staff.

Over 1% of annual turnover is invested into our training programme each year which is part-funded and reviewed by the CITB (Construction Industry Training Board).

The company’s broad training matrix involves all personnel from site operatives to senior management and is tailored to the needs of the individual, the business and our clients. Training modules cover everything from IT skills, Product Training courses, Health & Safety, NVQs for site staff and subcontractors, Legislation and Management skills. On average around 1500 training days are recorded annually.

Lakesmere also maintains 100% compliance to the CSCS and CPCS schemes across its regional offices and continuous training maintains Lakesmere’s exemplary Health and safety records.

Our commitment to training has been recognised by our clients and the industry through various awards including a Regional NTA (National Training Award) for the up-skilling of our indirect labour force and the Scottish NFRC’s Safety, Health and Environment Award in recognition of the performance of a new in-house Training Centre.
